Who We Are

A couple of Indie Authors who aim to create an approachable, friendly community for new authors. A place where you can ask questions, no matter how basic, without fear of judgment.

Rachel Morton

Rachel was born in the North of England, where she has spent most of her life, happily rooted by her family.

From a young age, Rachel was fascinated by the power of stories. She started writing even before she could properly spell, embracing the magic of creating new worlds and adventures. Growing up with children’s books, she always felt like she was handed a key to countless worlds, and she never stopped exploring.

Rachel is the author of over 50 books, published across three pen names, including both novels and novellas. She writes in a range of genres, from paranormal fantasy and urban fantasy to crime fiction.

For her, the real fun lies in blending magic and mystery, creating vibrant worlds filled with complex characters. She has been a full-time author since 2016, an adventure she began after a friend encouraged her to take a chance. And it’s one she’s never regretted.

Rachel first began her publishing journey in 2011, just as Kindle and indie publishing were beginning to take off. She initially considered traditional publishing but fell in love with the freedom and creativity of self-publishing, and she hasn’t looked back since.

As Kindle Direct Publishing grew, so did the indie community, and Rachel grew along with it, learning from her mistakes and finding her way in the changing landscape.

Rob Radcliffe

Also hailing from the North of England, Rob first started reading novels when his grandfather gave him a copy of Jack Higgins’ Sheba at 13 years old, and over the next year sought out and read everything by that author.

Having found himself grounded at 15 years old and with no TV to pass the time, Rob put pen to paper and began what can only be described as the worst Jack Higgins rip off ever written…until he wrote his sequel.

In his twenties, Rob read more widely, consuming anything and everything he could get his hands on. Genre was irrelevant, it was only story which mattered to him.

His publishing journey began in 2015 after writing for years and simply moving onto the next book, leaving the manuscripts to collect e-dust on his laptop.

He has since published 6 novels and two novellas under his Rob Radcliffe moniker, with another two novels and three novellas ready to go, and also five novels under his R.J Radcliffe pen name.

From the beginning, Rob wanted to learn everything behind all the elements in the publishing process, from web design, formatting, cover creation, and setting up author platforms. Very much in the mindset of “well if they can do it, why can’t I?”

He spent years making every mistake in the book, until he found he was giving out technical advice in author forums, and then moved onto helping new authors publish their own books.

Together with Rachel, he’d love to reach and help more writers who need a hand up in seeing their books out there in the world finding readers.
